Hi all - first month of the new year is coming to an end and life in Alaska is moving along - I am beginning to notice an increase in daylight as we move ever so slowly toward summer. I believe we are at about 7 1/2 hours of daylight and gaining almost 5 1/2 minutes a day. The snow continues to pile up and cold temps continue to smack us in the face whenever we go outside. It is much colder in Anchorage than in Seward (unless we have wind), where Mary is now spending her week enjoying her new job. We both are settling into our changing living arrangements, although the weekdays find us talking a lot by text message, IM, email and on the phone - we do prefer the weekends when we can both be in the same city (with our dogs).
Mko is also adjusting to life in Anchorage with Mary. Her health continues to be an issue but Mary is getting a handle on it and I know she will be back to full speed very soon. Nikan is doing well in Seward, but keeping me busy. Walks are a must for the boy! I have a 4th grader who comes up to the high school on Tuesday and Thursday to walk Nikan. It is great for both and really helps me out.
I hope all is well with each of you and we will talk soon...until that time...take care and be happy
